I headcanon that Jaffa gender doesn't map directly onto the Western gender binary, and I would love to see Teal'c and Sam hanging out together as people who can kind of, sort of, tangentially, relate to each other's experiences of not being normative in gender. Sam's gender is up to you (trans male Sam, trans female Sam, genderqueer Sam, multigender Sam, or anything you can think of) as long as it's not 100% cis 100% of the time!

The doves, the bears, the other crazy wildlife, the plants and animals and climate that are so clearly determined to kill you, and the society that has evolved to be *so chill* about it. What sorts of things do they teach kids about the planet, besides extreme weather survival? How do people interact with the native species?
