voiceteamSNAPSHOT [15 points, +10 if connected to a podfic made for Voiceteam]:
Take a photo of yourself, with others as needed, recreating a moment from a podfic. Costume and/or masks are fine (but not required). Digitally altering the photo after you take it is also fine (but also not required)! Bonus points if it’s a podfic created for Voiceteam, by a member of any team.
AUDIO MUSE [30 points, +10 if you make a podfic cover]:
Create something while listening to a podfic (painting, sculpture, dance, a meal, etc.) Let the podfic impact what you create. Take a photo of your creation and share it with the podfic’s creator. Bonus points if you turn that photo into a cover that you offer to the podfic’s creator.
FIRST! [35 points for each player who contributes, or 25 if the podfic is under 5 minutes]:
Create a podfic in a fandom that didn’t have any podfics on AO3 when this week of Voiceteam began.
WEIRD SCIENCE [40, +10 for each additional player’s voice you incorporate after the first four]
Incorporate one or more clips from another Voiceteam player’s audio fanwork (posted on AO3 or submitted for Voiceteam points) into a fanwork of your own.
HOUSEWARMING [15 points]:
Find a podficcer with fewer than 5 podfics posted to AO3. Encourage them on their podfic adventure by leaving a comment on one of their podfics!
ROPE THEM IN 2 (NON-HUMAN EDITION) [35 points per non-human]:
Incorporate a non-human voice into one of your podfics. This could be birdsong, a pet’s voice, or computer-generated speech. This should be a NEW sound that you have recorded/created for the challenge, not a pre-made sound effect you found elsewhere. Each non-human can only get points once—so use them well!
PODVID [40 points for each player who contributes, +35 points for significant editing]:
Create podfic with a video component. For example, you might film yourself reading aloud, you might choose (or draw, or animate!) some images to put on the screen that fit with the story, you might include video clips (either found or made) under your voice, or anything else your creative brains dream up! Bonus for projects with significant editing (more than setting audio to a static image or a raw recording of yourself reading aloud)—honor system as to whether the editing required for your project counts as significant for you! (On a project with multiple contributors, only person can get the "significant editing" bonus.)
PITCH N’ POD [35 points for each player who contributes, +10 for each fandom newbie who lends their voice]
Introduce Voiceteam players to a fandom they didn't know before and have them record a group podfic in the new fandom. Bonus points for each person who is podficcing in this fandom without having consumed any canon or fic for this fandom prior to the pitch.
NEVER HAVE I EVER… UNTIL NOW [40 points per person doing a new thing]
Play podfic-themed Never Have I Ever with one or more of your team members. Then create an audio fanwork that does one of the things from the game you had never done before. Multiple people can contribute to the same audio work if they are all doing something they have never done before.
SWAP [50 points each]
Find another Voiceteam player who has a different process from yours. Learn about each other's process. You’ll take something from each other’s process that you haven't ever done before (e.g. a new recording trick, a new audio editing program, a new filter or effect.) and use it in the creation of a new podfic each.
Bonus Challenge: DAY IN THE LIFE [35 points for each player who contributes, +10 if connected to a podfic made for Voiceteam]
Create at least 30 seconds of audio and/or video in-character as a character from a podfic. (Bonus points if it's a podfic posted for Voiceteam.) Can be either improvised or pre-scripted, can include additional sound effects or not. For an example, see https://archiveofourown.org/works/24171868/

Important Notes
- Every challenge that says podfic also allows oral not!fic
- Challenges that say “audio fanwork” include at least podfic, oral not!fic, and filk. If you have additional ideas, ask us!
- Please make sure that you check with your fellow Voiceteam members before using their voice for a Weird Science creation (unless they already have a BP statement that covers this kind of use)!
- Please note that to count for Pitch N' Pod points, a project must include the voices of at least two people who have previously consumed no canon or fic for the fandom
