Week 1 Challenges

*drumroll* Your week 1 challenges are....
 

 

 

PICK A TEAM NAME [50 points]:

PICK A MASCOT [50 points]:

Your mascot can be whatever you want! An animal? An object? A character? A vague yet menacing concept? Your choice!

 

FANWORK OF YOUR MASCOT [40 points]:

Create a fanwork of any medium involving your mascot. It could be fanart, text or oral not!fic backstory, podficced text, yarncraft, a cake, or something we haven’t thought of yet!

 

COMMENT ON A TEAM MEMBER’S PODFIC [10 points, +2 for each sentence of feedback after the first]:

Listen to and leave a comment on a podfic you haven’t listened to before that was made by one of your team members.

 

FANDOM LIST [5 points for each fandom listed]:

Write a list of fandoms shared by 2 members or more of your group. Fandom here means a media you have had fannish feelings about, not necessarily one you have created works for.

 

MAKE A MULTIVOICE [25 points for each team member who contributes]:

Make a multivoice fanwork (podfic or oralnot!fic) with multiple team members, at least two of whom share that fandom.

 

SIMULPOD A FIC [35 points for each team member who contributes]:

Simultaneously release multiple podfics of the same story with one or more team members.

 

ROPE THEM IN [45 points for each non-podficcer]:

Get a non-podficcer friend or family member of one of the team members to create a podfic (definition for non-podficcer is anyone who does not self-identify as a podficcer)

 

WISH FULFILLMENT [65 points, +25 if connected to a podfic made for Week 1 of Voiceteam]:

Choose a podfic created by yourself or a member of your team. Using one of your real-life skills or hobbies, create an object you WISH you could give to one of the characters in the podfic. For example, create a “HOW TO TELL IF SOMEBODY LIKES YOU BACK” lesson plan or PowerPoint, bake the character “I'm sorry you got stuck in a cabin with your nemesis and there was only one bed” cookies, write or perform a song for the character to cheer them up, sew a tiny outfit for the character's pet kitten. Or something else! Bonus points if it connects to a podfic created this week.


REPLICATION [75 points, +25 if connected to a podfic made for Week 1 of Voiceteam]:

Choose a podfic you or a team member created. Using one of your real-life skills or hobbies, create an object that was featured in the podfic. For example, cook a meal eaten in the fic, knit an object from the fic, plant a section of garden to match one in the fic. Bonus points if it connects to a podfic created this week.

 
 

Important Notes:

• Whenever it says points for each team member who contributes, these contributions can include voice, editing, cover art, etc.

• One thing your mods absolutely LOVE is creative interpretations. Do you have an idea for how to do one of the challenges but aren't quite sure how it fits in? Ask us, we'll be generous with what we allow because we want you to have fun with this!

ANTHOLOGY [35 points for each team member who contributes]:

Pick a theme - it can be as abstract or as concrete as you want - and have multiple team members create a podfic that connects to the theme.
